Billing and Invoices

Billing & SubscriptionLast updated: 2026-09-20

Mimentum uses Stripe for payments. Your plan, usage and invoice history are in Mimentum; card details, tax data and coupon codes are handled in Stripe's secure billing portal.

  • Go to Dashboard > Subscription

  • Click Manage Billing

  • The Stripe billing portal opens
  • In the portal you can update your card, change your billing address, view and download invoices, and cancel.

    Current Plan

Shows your plan and its state:

    StatusMeaning
    ActiveEverything is in order
TrialYou're in your free trial, with days remaining shown
Past DueA payment failed — update your payment method
CanceledCanceling, with access until a stated date
PausedBilling paused, with the resume date shown
    ExpiredAccess has ended

You'll also see your billing cycle (monthly or annual), your price, your next billing date and — if you have one — your account credit and any active discount.

Account credit is applied automatically to your next invoice, reducing what you owe.

    Resource Usage

Shows where you stand against your plan's limits:

  • Galleries

  • Photos, and photos per gallery (highest gallery)

  • Storage

  • Invitations, and guests per invitation (highest invitation)

  • Team members
  • You'll be warned when you're approaching a limit and told when one is reached.

    Billing History

Every invoice with its date, amount, and status (Paid, Pending, Failed). Click through to open the invoice in Stripe, where you can download it as a PDF.

If you've never been on a paid plan, this section is empty.

Payment methods are managed in the Stripe billing portal, not in Mimentum.

    Updating Your Card

  • Go to Subscription > Manage Billing

  • Add or update the payment method in the Stripe portal

  • Return to Mimentum
  • You need a valid payment method on a paid plan.

    How Billing Works

  • Monthly: charged on the same date each month

  • Annual: charged once a year on your subscription start date, at a 17% discount versus paying monthly

  • Prorated: when you upgrade mid-cycle, you're charged only for the remaining days
  • Billing Date

Your billing date is the day you first subscribed. Subscribe on 15 January and monthly billing falls on the 15th of each month; annual billing falls on 15 January each year.

    Currency

    Mimentum bills in euros (€).

  • Starter includes a 7-day trial; Pro and Business include 14 days

  • Trials are for new customers only, one per customer

  • A valid payment method is required

  • We notify you 3 days before your trial ends

  • At the end of the trial we attempt to charge your payment method

  • Cancel any time during the trial to avoid being charged
  • Failed Payments

    If a payment fails:

  • Your subscription moves to Past Due and a banner appears on the Subscription page

  • Stripe automatically retries the payment over the following days

  • You have a 7-day grace period to fix it

  • If it isn't resolved, your account is downgraded to the Free plan
  • Your data isn't deleted on downgrade — but features above the Free limits stop working until you're paid up again.

    Fixing a Failed Payment

  • Go to Subscription

  • Click Manage Billing on the payment banner

  • Update your payment method in the Stripe portal

  • Stripe retries the charge
  • If your subscription looks out of date after paying, click Sync with Stripe on the Subscription page.

Discounts appear on your Current Plan card as either a percentage or a fixed amount, with the date they run until — or "applies forever" if it's permanent.

Promotional codes are entered at checkout or in the Stripe billing portal. They are non-transferable, can't be combined, expire on their stated date, and apply only to the plan they were issued for.

  • When will I be charged?

On your billing date each month or year, or immediately when you upgrade.

Why was I charged a different amount?

Usually a prorated upgrade, added tax, an expired discount, or your bank's currency conversion.

How do I get a receipt for expenses?

Open the invoice from your Billing History and download the PDF from Stripe.

    Is my payment information safe?

Yes. Payments run through Stripe and Mimentum never stores your full card details.
