Creating an Invitation

Mimentum's digital invitations let you create beautiful, interactive invitations that guests can view on any device — for a wedding, a birthday, a baby shower or any celebration.

Accessing the Invitation Builder

  • Log in to your Mimentum account

  • Navigate to Dashboard > Invitations

  • Click Create Invitation

    • Choosing a Template

    Browse our template collection:

    Cover Design

    Customize your invitation cover:

    Image Options:

  • Upload your engagement photo

  • Choose from stock images

  • Use a solid color or gradient

    • Text Overlay:

  • Host names

  • "You're Invited" or custom text

  • Event date

    • Your invitation is made up of sections. Default sections include:

  • Cover - First impression with names and photo

  • Event Details - Date, time, and location

  • Our Story - Share how you met

  • RSVP - Guest response form

  • Registry - Link to gift registries

    • Adding Sections

  • Click Add Section in the builder

  • Choose a section type

  • Customize content and styling

  • Drag to reorder

    • Color Scheme

    Set the colours of your celebration:

  • Primary Color - Main accent color

  • Secondary Color - Supporting color

  • Background Color - Page background

  • Text Color - Body text

    • Tips:

  • Use your own palette

  • Ensure text is readable

  • Preview on different devices

    • Typography

    Choose fonts for your invitation:

  • Heading Font - Names, titles

  • Body Font - Paragraphs, details

  • Accent Font - Special text, quotes

    Animations

    Add subtle animations:

  • Fade In - Sections fade as you scroll

  • Slide Up - Content slides into view

  • Parallax - Background moves at different speed

  • None - Static, no animations

    Meal Options

    Configure meal choices (if applicable):

  • Go to RSVP section settings

  • Enable Meal Selection

  • Add your menu options (Beef, Chicken, Fish, Vegetarian, Vegan)

    • RSVP Deadline

    Set a deadline for responses:

  • Enable RSVP Deadline

  • Select a date

  • Optional: Show countdown

  • Optional: Send reminders

    • Preview Modes

    Test your invitation before sharing:

    Test RSVP

  • Click Preview

  • Fill out the RSVP form

  • Check email notifications

  • Review in Guest List

    • Note: Test responses can be deleted before going live.

    Going Live

    When you're ready to share:

  • Review all sections

  • Test RSVP form

  • Click Publish

  • Your invitation is now live!

    • Invitation URL

    Before Publishing

  • Proofread everything - Check names, dates, addresses

  • Test on multiple devices - Ensure it looks good everywhere

  • Verify links - Test registry and map links

  • Send test invite - Email yourself first

  • Keep it concise - Don't overwhelm guests

  • Include essentials - Who, what, when, where

  • Make RSVP easy - Minimize required fields

  • Add personality - Share your story

    • Design Tips

  • Match your theme - Consistent with physical materials

  • Use high-quality images - At least 1920x1080

  • Ensure readability - Good contrast, legible fonts

  • Don't overdo animations - Subtle is better
