One of Mimentum's best features is allowing your guests to contribute their photos directly to your gallery. This creates a complete collection of memories from everyone's perspective.

Setting Up Guest Uploads

Navigate to your gallery settings

Find the "Guest Uploads" section

Enable "Allow Guest Uploads"

Configure your preferences:

- Require guest name (recommended)
- Enable moderation (review before publish)
- Set file size limits
- Allow video uploads

Best Practices for Guest Uploads

Announce Early: Let guests know about the gallery before or during the event

Display QR Codes: Place them where guests will see them (tables, photo booth, entrance)

Set Expectations: Tell guests what types of photos you'd like

Enable Wi-Fi Info: If your venue has Wi-Fi, include the password near QR codes

Follow Up: Send a reminder afterwards for guests to upload remaining photos

How to Upload Photos

Visit the Gallery: Open the link or scan the QR code provided by the hosts

Tap Upload: Look for the upload button (usually in the header or floating)

Select Photos: Choose photos from your device

Add Your Name: Enter your name so the hosts know who contributed

Submit: Tap upload and wait for confirmation

Tips for Great Uploads

Upload Your Best: Quality over quantity

Check Orientation: Make sure photos are right-side up

Avoid Duplicates: Check if someone already uploaded similar shots

Respect Privacy: Don't upload unflattering photos of others

Act Quickly: Upload while memories are fresh

Troubleshooting Upload Issues

"Upload Failed" Error

Check your internet connection

Try uploading fewer photos at once

Ensure photos aren't too large (reduce quality if needed)

Try a different browser

Photos Not Appearing

The gallery owner may have moderation enabled

Your photos are pending review

Check back later or contact the hosts

Can't Find Upload Button

Guest uploads may be disabled

The upload period may have ended

Try refreshing the page

For Gallery Owners

When moderation is enabled:

Review Queue: Uploaded photos appear in your moderation queue

Preview Each Photo: See the full image before deciding

Approve or Reject:

- Approved photos are published to the gallery
- Rejected photos are permanently deleted

Bulk Actions: Approve or reject multiple photos at once

Moderation Best Practices

Review regularly, especially right after the event

Set aside time daily for the first week

Be generous - you can always remove photos later

File size and video

File size and video are per-gallery settings, not plan limits — you set them in
your gallery settings and they apply to every guest uploading to that gallery.

Video length	Up to 30 seconds	Between 10 and 60 seconds

What Counts Toward Storage?

All photos in your gallery (yours and guests')

Original file sizes

Deleted photos don't count after deletion

Guest Privacy

Guests' email addresses are never shared

Names are only visible if you enable the feature

IP addresses are logged for security but not displayed

Your Privacy

You control who can upload

You can disable uploads at any time

Moderation gives you full control over what's published

Removing Guest Photos

You can remove any photo from your gallery

Guests cannot remove their own uploads

Consider downloading before removing
