Sharing with Guests

Once your gallery is created, you'll want to share it with your guests so they can start uploading photos. Mimentum provides multiple ways to share your gallery.

QR Code

Perfect for printing and displaying at your venue:

  • Go to your gallery in the dashboard

  • Click the Share button

  • Click Download QR Code

  • Choose your preferred size and format

    • QR Code Uses:

  • Table centerpieces

  • Welcome signs

  • Photo booth displays

  • Printed programs

  • Place cards

    • Recommended Sizes:

    Email Invitation

    Send a beautifully formatted email:

  • Go to your gallery in the dashboard

  • Click Share > Send Email

  • Enter guest email addresses

  • Customize the message (optional)

  • Click Send

    • Social Media

    Share on social platforms:

  • Click the Share button

  • Select your preferred platform

  • Add a caption and post

    • When guests visit your gallery, they'll be asked to register.

    Registration Options

    Minimal (Default):
  • Name only (optional)

  • Device fingerprint for tracking

    • Standard:

  • Name (required)

  • Device fingerprint

    • Full:

  • Name (required)

  • Email (required)

  • Device fingerprint

    • Device Tracking

    Mimentum uses device fingerprinting to:
  • Track which photos each guest uploaded

  • Allow guests to see their own uploads

  • Prevent duplicate registrations

    • Guests can upload from multiple devices, but each device requires a new registration.

    For private events, you can add password protection:

  • Go to Gallery Settings

  • Enable Password Protection

  • Set your password

  • Share the password separately from the link

    • Best Practices:

  • Use a simple, memorable password

  • Share the password verbally or in the invitation

  • Consider the event date or the hosts' names

    • Before the Event

  • Announce Early - Let guests know about the gallery in your invitation

  • Test the Link - Make sure it works on different devices

  • Prepare Signage - Print QR codes for display

    • During the Event

  • Place QR Codes Strategically

    • - Entry/welcome table
    - Photo booth area
    - Bar and buffet tables
    - Each dining table

  • Make Announcements

    • - Mention the gallery during speeches
    - Have the DJ/MC remind guests
    - Display instructions on screens

  • Lead by Example

    • - Upload the first few photos yourself
    - Encourage the people closest to you to upload

    After the Event

  • Send Reminders - Email guests who haven't uploaded

  • Share Highlights - Post favorite photos to encourage more uploads

  • Set a Deadline - Give guests a timeframe to upload

    • "The QR code doesn't work"

  • Make sure the QR code is printed clearly

  • Check there's enough contrast (dark on light background)

  • Test the QR code with multiple phone cameras

  • Ensure the QR code isn't too small

    • "Guests can't upload"

  • Verify "Allow Guest Uploads" is enabled

  • Check storage limits haven't been reached

  • Ensure the gallery isn't in "View Only" mode
